Flu knocked me down
I have been ill, an angry winter flu knocked me down for two weeks. I’m slowly recovering, so soon I will have something to show. A good thing is that we finally have a little snow after a snowless autumn. Kasper too likes snow, but he doesn’t want to be outdoors for long when it’s as cold as today, -20 C (-4 F). He suffers from cold cramp in his legs and paws now when he’s old.
Here he tries to warm his paw by licking it, but the only result was cramp in his hind leg. Poor little friend.
He was also a bit upset by not being able to find his loo immediately the first morning with snow. Putting his head under the snow and finding his way by sniffing solved the problem! I have to tell him about the red rag the forest company has tied to his favourite tree.
So sorry to hear you have been sick. Must be the season as I was sick also over Christmas and New Years with the flu and cold. Sure hope you are feeling better soon and getting back to your favorite crafts. Take care.
I hope you’re OK now, Marilyn! I’m feeling better, thanks!
Yes, SICK! And since I am Never sick I was very annoyed about it! Small cold, then busy, busy and then WHAM, big cold. Not the flu but in bed over Christmas…TIRED and am sure that is how you felt also. we never hear about the Flu in Europe so ‘we’
think we are the only ones having it 🙂 Kasper does have a time of it being so close to the ground. Even my BIG dogs complain, snowballs in their pads.
I’ve decided (without a physician’s diagnosis) that I have the “man flu” 🙂 I don’t remember when I was this sick the last time, but it must be more than a decade ago. I’m tired, but getting better.
Snowballs in the pads is BAD, says Kasper. He has those when the snow is wet, and he hates them.
I did finish my Hap for Harriet with my 2 ply lace spun Ryeland. Felt like it took forever! Working on fine spinning some Hebridean. More ‘forever’ 🙂
Hap for Harriet is beautiful! I have downloaded it, but haven’t decided which yarn I’ll use. I may make a striped shawl.
Fine Hebridean? Lamb’s wool?
Actually, NO. Speedwell is 5 years old, her fleece is not bad. I have all the pictures Of the Ryeland (Nelson) and I suppose I am always trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear 🙂 Would sent you pic of the Hap but don’t know how.
😀 OK, if you’re a thin spinner then you’re a thin spinner! I most certainly am.
So sorry to hear you have been unwell over Christmas. Us too! Good to have that all behind us. Keep warm, keep well.
